So, what's new at RetroJohn's!

Retrograde Motor OilSo, other than riding around and generally being slack... i thought i'd better get a new design up here! I've always been a Castrol 20/50 fan when i comes to motor oil... more than anything else, i just like the design of the Castrol can! Then i thought, RetroJohn needs a good grade oil... you know how it is, old cranks and gear heads need a good lude... yeah right, i could have made that sound a lot worse! ;-)

Inspiration No. 5: RetroGrade Motor Oil advertising...

Righty O', RetroJohn now has a blog, so just blogged it! Check out the blog for generally what's going on... This "What's New" page will stay for ideas and new stuff in the shop.

RetroJohn sprocket motto
Inspiration No. 4:
Everyone's gotta' have a motto right!? So, RetroJohn's is "Look Back With Triumph - ad gloriam momentum"... The sprocket idea was er borrowed from Motomania - i don't think they'll mind... :-)
Tiger 650 sticker
Inspiration No. 3:
So, there i am out for a ride (to consol myself being as Hinckley wouldn't let me use the old Triumph logo) day dreaming about T-Shirt design ideas... and there was one, on the petrol tank...

Mine says "Tiger 650" but i think they also had them on the Trophy's?
Triumph - The Best Motorcycle in the World
Inspiration No. 2:
Of course, who can think of classic motorcycles and not think of those weathered old advertising signs. I've got a couple of old tin signs... i was looking at one on the wall in the garage one evening and thought, ah, now there's an idea for a shirt! I wasn't sure about the old Triumph logo so i asked the new 'Hinckley' Triumph Motorcycles Ltd. about using it first, they said "no"... Oh well... back to the drawing board, or out for a ride!
Minimum Oil Level - Triumph
Inspiration No. 1:
This was an idea i've had floating about for a while now... There i was looking at the oil slick under my bike and i thought... now there's an iconic image of British motorcycles... but not a very inspiring picture to put on a T-Shirt... then i looked up and saw, right in front of me... "MINIMUM OIL LEVEL", right there on the oil tank. Now that would make a great design!
